Fraud, Forgery and Fundamentals (3-hr FREC Course)

This Continuing Education (CE) course provides valuable information and insight on the following topics:

• The ability to recognize wire fraud, forgery and numerous deceptive scenarios and understand how they may cause issues and delays in the negotiation and closing of real estate transactions.
• A deeper understanding of why an Owner’s Policy of Title Insurance is valuable to the purchaser in a real estate transaction. This review will include what is and what is not covered under the terms of the Owner’s Policy.
• A review and clarification of the fundamentals involved in closing a real estate transaction including: contracts and addendums, walkthrough complications, title commitment requirements and lender requirements.
• An open discussion of industry news related to the sale and closing of a real estate transaction.
